Some buildings inspire. But Coventry Cathedral does more than just inspire, it moves. What matters with this building is not so much what it is as what it’s about: it’s about reconciliation, not vengeance.
The Jacob Epstein statue above the steps depicts St Michael’s Victory over the Devil (the cathedral is dedicated to St Michael).
