Salisbury Cathedral, which has the tallest spire in the United Kingdom, as seen from the cathedral close.
Earlier in the day I had taken the Tower Tour (highly recommended but advance booking essential). On this tour you can see the interior of the hollow spire and look out over the town which, unusually in medieval England, was laid out on a grid.
